So in my last journal post I commented that it had been a whole year since my last post, and how pitiful that was.  Well, I've outdone myself!  It has now been almost FIVE years since that post, and I'm finally posting again.  I'm sure anyone who is following this has long since given me up for dead (or at least believes that I am attached to an iron lung in a basement somewhere in Utah), but nevertheless I am moved to write.

Too much has happened in my personal life in the last five years to go into great detail about it, so I'll sum it up by saying these few words: married, moved twice, dog, new job.  Not necessarily in that order.  Anyway, in all the hullaballoo that has engulfed the last 1500-odd days of my life, DeviantArt has unfortunately fallen by the wayside.

That said, I think it's time to blow the dust off my camera and head to the horizon in search of beautiful new vistas, and to revisit some old deviants whose art has moved me in the past (and maybe make some new friends along the way).

Hoping to post again in the immediate future (or maybe I'll wait 10 years and then just update my journal) ... JJ
